S2 E4: The Promises of God

Genesis 12, 15, 17.
God is a promise making and promise keeping God. But what do we do in the gap between promises made and promises kept? In this episode we look more deeply at the promise God made to Abraham, known as the Abrahamic Covenant. In it, we will see how this promise of God becomes one of the most predominant themes throughout your Bible and even into eternity. The hope of this episode is for us to see God as the promise keeping God he is as we continue to trust the final fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham in Christ.

The journey of faith is not a straight shot of perfection. It is a slow steady journey of progress over time. In this episode, we look at the life of Abraham from start to finish. Throughout his life, Abraham is marked by both faith and doubt, successes and sins, joys and pains. Abraham's life is a model of how to grow in trust and live by faith (and what happens when you don't). It takes time and the choice to continually trust in God no matter the situation.

Season 2 Trailer: God’s People

In SEASON TWO, the story picks up as we journey from Genesis 12 through Deuteronomy focusing in on God’s people.
We will begin by journeying through the life of Abraham and his sons. Then move through the Exodus account and God’s deliverance of his people from Egypt. In short, we will look at how one man (Abram) became a nation (the Israelites). More than that, we will see how this family fits into the larger story of Scripture leading to Jesus.
Throughout the season we will pause and hit on certain themes such as worship and God's creativity, tracing them from creation, to the cross, and into the culmination of all things in eternity. 
So join us as we talk through God’s People in Season Two of Storyverse Podcast.
