Passion Week Devotional: Last Words

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, listen into the final words Jesus said from the cross. Each day we will look at one of the seven statements Jesus said as he gave his life for humanity.

After speaking to those around him, Jesus lifts his eyes to his Father in heaven. Only this time, he does not see the Father's smile, only his wrath. While quoting Psalm 22, we get a window into a reality we cannot fathom. The object of the Father's greatest love became the object of his greatest wrath.
