Passion Week Devotional: Last Words

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, listen into the final words Jesus said from the cross. Each day we will look at one of the seven statements Jesus said as he gave his life for humanity.

Jesus has offered forgiveness to his enemies, salvation to the sinner, and now, he offers comfort to those he loves. Knowing his mother would be left without care, Jesus calls on John to care for his mother after he is gone. So far, Jesus has yet to speak of himself upon the cross. He simply keeps loving those around him... even to the end.
